PolarFIS disconnected from your vehicle
First of all, for upgrading a PolarFIS device, you must disconnect it completely from your vehicle. If the PolarFIS is plugged, the unit not will enter flashmode. This means it will not be possible to upgrade it (Windows will not detect it). So we recomend ALWAYS disconnecting the device from the vehicle.
PolarFIS connected to your vehicle
Although disconnecting the device is recommended, there are other methods for updating the device while it is still connected (preferably with the USB cable still connected and easily accessable without any disassembly).
Here you have the 3 alternative methods:
Method 1)
- Disconnect the battery of your vehicle.
- After this, connect PolarFIS via USB to your computer.
Method 2)
- Extract fuse F12 or F24 (5A value) from your vehicle.
- After this, connect PolarFIS via USB to your computer.
- Note : For knowing the correct fuse, check values for 5A (this is the correct one).
Method 3)
- Connect PolarFIS via USB to your computer.
- Navigate into the PolarFIS and search the option called “UPDATE”.
- When the “connect” message appears, press OK button on your steering wheel.
- Now the unit will allow you to connect and upgrade it.
